Project Risk Management
All projects are risky, and effective risk management is a key contributor to project and business success. A good Project Manager needs to ensure that risks are kept to a minimal.
All projects have three main components: scope, time and cost. Project Managers refer to these three components as “project constraints.” In an equilateral triangle, each vertex are equal meaning that projects come in on “time” and on budget (”cost”), while addressing all of the needs originally expressed by project stakeholders (“scope”). All too often one of the components fails to meet expectations and the entire project turns out to be very costly, frustrating and disappointing for all.
